Grapes:
Muscat a Petits Grains
Appearance: deep amber
Nose: elegant, aromas of stone fruit (apricot), raisins, dry figs, coffee, walnuts, orange zest, spices (cloves, allspice), tobacco leaf, flowers (rose potpourri) 
Palate: sweet, high acidity, full-bodied, pronounced flavors corresponding to the nose, long finish
Conclusion: very good, ready to drink but can develop further
Price: $15 (375ml)

В самые короткие зимние дни потянуло в края, где вкусно кормят и сладко поят.  Лунная долина звала и манила.  Начали мы с Карнероса--общего для Напы и Сономы самого южного их аппеласьона.  С залива Сан-Пабло в Карнерос дуют холодные ветры, а по утрам склоны холмов покрываются туманами, вот такими приблизительно:

Виноград:
мускат
Яркий золотистый цвет, игра умеренная, относительно недолгая, пузырьки достаточно крупные.  Аромат насыщенный, типично мускатный (цветочно-виноградный),  при этом не свежий, а развивающийся (спелые яблоки и персики, немного мёда и осени); пряные травы (орегано).  Вкус насыщенный, структурированный, соответствующий аромату.
Очень понравилось, но подавило вкус салата из аругулы с настурцией.
Цена: $11

Grapes: 90% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir, on lees for 120 months.
Appearance: golden color, fine bubbles
Nose: bread crust, brioche, earthy aromas of autumn leaves, ripe apple and stone fruit, nuts (almonds), oak, sweet spice (cloves).
Palate:  developed, dry, high acidity, full-bodied, pronounced flavors corresponding to the nose, delicate mousse, oak and raisins in the very long finish
Quality: outstanding
Price: $44

Nose: youthful, fresh, stony minerality, bitter citrus (grapefruit, lime zest), floral.

Food:  broiled leeks with goat cheese mousse, fried taro and marjoram vinaigrette.

Appearance: pale lemon, surprisingly large bubbles
Palate: High acidity, medium flavor intensity, medium body, brioche, lemon, peach, green apple, creamy mousse
Easy drinking, not very complex, very good, but at $200 one expects to be wowed.  Needs time to develop (?).

Appearance: golden color, lots of fine bubbles
Nose: toasted brioche, ripe apple and pear, stone fruit (apricot), orange zest, oak, sweet spice
Palate:  dry, high acidity, full-bodied, pronounced flavors corresponding to the nose, hint of tropical fruit, delicate mousse, long bisquity finish
Quality: outstanding (I wish I could keep a bottle to see how it develops)

Appearance: pale lemon color, persistent fine bubbles
Nose: fresh, floral, honey, minerality
Palate: dry, high acidity, delicate mousse; structured, complex, bright citrus(orange, tangerine) and floral notes, minerality, long honey-and-apple finish
Quality: excellent
Price: $50
